ABOUT ME
Dr. Christopher Sulowski is a Canadian-trained pediatric emergency physician, healthcare leader, educator, and founder of CRAFT-ED Paediatric Consulting.
His story with pediatric medicine began personally. At age three, Chris was treated as a pediatric cancer patient at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Twenty-five years later, he came full circle, taking handover on the SickKids oncology ward as a physician in training.
Dr. Chris completed his undergraduate studies and medical degree at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, followed by pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children, widely recognized as one of the Top Pediatric Teaching Hospitals in the World.
He later joined McMaster Children’s Hospital and Hamilton Health Sciences, where he helped lead one of Canada’s busiest pediatric emergency services. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University, he became Division Head of Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of Paediatric Emergency Medicine Services at Hamilton Health Sciences, a major hospital network serving more than 2.3 million people.
Across his career, Dr. Chris has personally managed more than 60,000 pediatric emergency presentations and led within a department seeing more than 52,000 children annually.
Dr. Chris currently works as a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in Antigua and Barbuda, where he continues to provide frontline pediatric emergency care in a small-island national health system. He is the only Pediatric Emergency Medicine specialist currently practicing on the island.
Drawing on his clinical, academic, and leadership experience, Dr. Chris now works to improve pediatric urgent and emergency care beyond a single hospital or health system. Through frontline practice, consulting, curriculum, and systems strategy, he continues to expand his reach with one goal: helping teams deliver safer, calmer, faster, and more trusted care for children.

“Dr. Chris combines pediatric emergency expertise with calm reassurance and practical guidance for families.”
